It all began in 2008, when Grandma Rose decided to turn three generations of family recipes into a place where everyone could feel at home. Since then, The Corner Kitchen has been the beating heart of Corn Street, a corner of Bristol where time slows down and every dish tells a story.
Today, together with her children Tom and Grace, we carry on that same philosophy: simple ingredients, local suppliers and the care of someone cooking for their own family. Every dish is born of passion and a respect for honest cooking.
You will not find fancy, complicated dishes here, but you will find the authentic taste of home — the kind you only get from a proper kitchen.
Simplicity, quality, authenticity
Every morning we select the finest produce. Vegetables from the garden, meat from our trusted butcher, eggs from happy hens. Nothing frozen, no shortcuts.
Our suppliers are local producers we know by name. The cheese comes from Somerset, the bread from a Bristol bakery, the veg from farms just down the road.
The pastry is made by hand every day. The ragù simmers for six hours. The pies are crimped by Grandma Rose. We cook the old-fashioned way, because good food takes time.
